About MapGridder

We would rather show you the map than our faces, so there is no team page yet. We work on MapGridder every day and we read every message that comes in.

We are trying to combine two things: a passion for the outdoors and what AI has made possible. Both are in everything we build.

Who we are

We are a small team that likes the outdoors. Some of us are army veterans. We spent the last years working in AI companies, and on weekends we plan treks, drive to the hills, and look at maps more than we should.

Why we built it

We know how it feels when you depend on an analyst to finish a map before an operation can move. When you need 10 GB of software to plan a three-day hike. When a license for drawing a grid and a few arrows costs hundreds of dollars.

So we built the map editor we kept wishing for. It works without a signal once it is exported. No installation.

It is not a GIS suite and it does not try to be one. It is accurate enough for a tactical mission, a search, an event or a trek, and simple enough to do yourself.

What is next

In the near future we'll add native AI map generation to MapGridder. Fast, easy, mission-level planning. We're also moving into new markets (more on that when there's something to show).
